"This past Sunday, I had the distinct pleasure of spending an afternoon with “The Last Emperor”. That’s right, I spent three hours with the man, the myth, the legend himself: Fedor Emelianenko. Fedor was in NJ for the M-1 Global Selection Semifinals the night before in Atlantic City.

"What very few knew was that there had been a plan in place for Fedor to do a private, invitation only seminar at his friend and fellow Sambo competitor, Oleg Savitsky’s academy in Middlesex, NJ. The site was Zealous Nation MMA and this state of the art facility hosted a rare, once in a lifetime experience that had grown adults looking like children in Toys R Us for the very first time. Proudly, I was one of them. As soon as Fedor walked into the room the entire atmosphere changed and there was a long pause of dead silence before the room erupted with a warm, welcoming ovation for the school’s guest of honor. All the while, it was we who were honored to be there with Fedor."

Fedor Emelianenko,current WAMMA Heavyweight Champion and the last PRIDE Heavyweight Champion and also the winner of several World Combat SAMBO competitions, will be visiting Zealous Nation MMA on Sunday August 8 from 2-4 PM.  This is a rare opportunity to participate in a seminar taught by Fedor.  Attendance is by special invitation only.

Vladimir Kozlov, WWE star visited Oleg Savitsky, MMA Trainer at Zealous Nation in Middlesex, NJ.  The video below shows the SAMBO and Grappling training session at Zealous Nation MMA Gym.

Zealous Nation MMA was featured today on News 12 New Jersey.  In the News Spot, Oleg shared his fighting history that started as a child in his native Georgia and the challenges he faced coming to America 20 years ago. 

The News Spot included several training fights and demonstrations, showing how Oleg's extensive fighting and coaching experience allowed him to finally open Zealous Nation MMA over a year ago.  Full interview and trailer below. (Story by Syma Chowdhry.)

Very early this morning, the News 12 crew arrived at Zealous Nation MMA and began filming Oleg's training sessions and taking interviews.  When the crew left shortly after 8am, they told us we'd see the first small trailer around 9am.

In anticipation of the News 12 Spot at noon, the trailer below was played about every 7 minutes from approximately 9:20am until 11:57am, with the full interview airing at 12:15pm. 

This trailer contains some different footage than the interview itself.

Ray and Eric from Elusive Media visited Zealous Nation MMA for a photo shoot and captured a gallery of action shots at the facility.  A few training photos are below.

TV special on Jerry Slagowski. Jerry was featured on the news for some of the teaching he does. With over 30 years of teaching experience, it is impossible to find someone with his credentials as a black belt in many different styles of fighting.
